The Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB) has confirmed that Carol Adams will become its new chair on 1 April.
She is replacing Judy Kuszewski, who will complete her second term at the end of this month.
Adams is a former Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) chair and an accounting professor at Durham University.
She is also an advisor to the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountability, with her primary focus being sustainability reporting.
In addition, she is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in Scotland, where she chairs the sustainability committee.
The GSSB stressed that Adams recently advised the UK government on the implementation of new impact investing guidelines as well as the UNDP on creating new SDG Impact Standards, and
