Thailand’s securities regulator collaborating with CDP to boost climate disclosures

Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has said that it will collaborate with CDP, an organization that runs environmental disclosure systems. The two entities will work closely towards: improving the quality of disclosures from Thai corporates and financial institutions; and providing and analysing data relevant to the Sustainable Finance Initiatives for Thailand roadmap. The SEC statement states that "the collaboration between CDP and the SEC will run throughout 2022 and is part of the SEC’s ambition to raise awareness and encourage business sectors to incorporate climate-related risks into their policy, strategic planning and risk management, and follow international standard disclosure guidelines".
