SBTi approves Radisson’s net-zero target

The Radisson Hotel Group has received approval from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for its emission-reduction targets. These targets commit Radisson to reduce Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030 (relative to a 2019 base). On the same timeline, Radisson’s Scope 3 reduction target is set at 28%. A key component of the group’s emission-reduction plan is investing in energy efficiency solutions across its properties. The company claims to have achieved a 30% energy efficiency gain over the last decade. Federico González, CEO of the Radisson Hotel Group, commented: “We are taking clear action and affirming our commitment to be net zero by 2050, not for our commercial gain but to create concrete change and encourage others to join us on the journey to net zero, and eventually net positive.”
